About us

Those that know us know what a journey we’ve been on over the last year but here is a whistle-stop tour:

Directors Georgie (Hacker) and Ushma (Plummer) are local girls, local mums and part of the Oxted and Caterham community. We also happen to be optometrists with a passion to offer fully comprehensive, unrushed eye care to the Oxted community. Through personal experience in the industry, it is clear that for many years there has been a separation between clinical and retail in optometry. This separation has become more blurred: we have seen the negative impact of high volume, high prices, shorter appointment times and sales pressure, without the supporting service levels.

Combining our extensive clinical skills, experienced interpretation of the most current technology and long-established relationships with local health care professionals, we aim to provide a total vision care experience for our community.

We have expertise in managing chronic conditions from glaucoma, macular degeneration to dry eye, alongside providing education of the importance of preventative care and early detection of eye conditions.

The core of our mission is to combine these professional services with our exemplary care, time and understanding – building lifelong healthcare relationships and friendships.
